EURO POLYMERS EL-240

EURO POLYMERS EL-240, manufactured and distributed by the Euro Paint Vietnam brand, is a premium solvent-free, 2-component self-leveling Epoxy floor coating. It creates a seamless, ultra-flat, antibacterial floor surface with heavy mechanical load capacity, excellent abrasion and chemical resistance, meeting the most demanding hygiene standards. The product belongs to the specialized solvent-free Epoxy paint line, within Euro Paint Vietnam’s comprehensive concrete paint solutions.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

• Optimal ambient and surface temperature 15–35°C.
• The concrete surface must be completely dry, substrate moisture < 4%.
• Avoid applying when air humidity exceeds 80% or when there is condensation or reverse moisture penetration.
• Keep the working environment lightly draft-free and dust-free to protect the self-leveling surface during curing.

APPLICATION TOOLS

• Specialized notched trowel (to control film thickness).
• Spike roller (to release air bubbles).
• Spiked shoes for applicators to walk on the self-leveling layer.
• High-speed paint mixer.

SURFACE PREPARATION

• Concrete at least 28 days old, minimum compressive strength 25–30 MPa.
• Grind the floor with a diamond grinder to create roughness and thoroughly treat the surface.
• Vacuum all dust with a powerful industrial vacuum.
• Fill cracks and honeycomb holes with a specialized Epoxy filler and level the surface.

PRIMING

• Apply 1–2 coats of a specialized Epoxy primer (such as Euro Polymers EP-200 Primer) to completely seal the concrete’s capillary pores.
• The primer must fully seal the surface to prevent air bubbles from the concrete pushing up and damaging the self-leveling layer.
• Allow the primer to dry 6–12 hours before applying EURO POLYMERS EL-240.

SELF-LEVELING TOP COAT APPLICATION

• Pour Part B into Part A at the manufacturer’s specified ratio.
• Mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer for 3–5 minutes until completely homogeneous.
• Pour the EURO POLYMERS EL-240 mixture onto the floor and spread it evenly with a notched trowel to the designed thickness (usually 1.5–3 mm).
• Immediately use a spike roller to release air bubbles after spreading (roll back and forth in two perpendicular directions).
• The workable time after mixing is about 20–30 minutes (at 25°C).

THEORETICAL COVERAGE

• 1.3–1.5 kg/m² per 1 mm film thickness (recommended 1.5–3.0 mm, equivalent to 2.0–4.5 kg/m²).
• Actual consumption depends on the flatness of the concrete surface and the designed thickness.

PACKAGING & STORAGE

• Packaging: 20 kg set, 25 kg set (includes Part A and Part B).
• Storage: in a dry, cool place, tightly sealed, away from direct sunlight and heat sources (10–30°C).
• Shelf life 12 months from the manufacturing date when the packaging is intact and unopened.
