EURO POLYMERS EC-2WT

EURO POLYMERS EC-2WT, distributed by the Euro Paint Vietnam brand, is a premium water-based, 2-component Epoxy top coat. It is specially designed to create a finished protective film for concrete floors with flexible moisture-vapor transmission, aesthetic color, good mechanical resistance, free of toxic solvents and especially environmentally friendly. The product belongs to the high-quality water-based Epoxy paint line, within Euro Paint Vietnam’s comprehensive concrete paint solutions for industrial and civil projects.

KEY FEATURES

• Moisture-vapor transmission: a unique “breathing” ability lets moisture escape from the concrete substrate without peeling or blistering the film.

APPLICATION AREAS

• Floor coating for food and beverage plants, cold storage, pharmaceutical plants and electronics factories.
• Hospital, laboratory, school, shopping-center and public-area floors.
• Basement floors, parking areas, high-humidity areas or concrete not yet perfectly dry.
• Coating concrete walls and ceilings in areas requiring high hygiene standards.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

• Apply at ambient temperature 10–35°C.
• The concrete surface may carry some moisture (surface moisture < 10%).
• Avoid applying when the temperature drops below 10°C or air humidity exceeds 85%.
• Ensure a well-ventilated environment so the water in the film can evaporate easily.

APPLICATION TOOLS

• Specialized high-pressure paint sprayer.
• Roller: short-nap roller or a premium water-paint roller.
• Hand brush: for corners, wall bases and tight spots.

SURFACE PREPARATION

• The concrete surface must be clean, free of oils/greases, chemicals and weak old paint.
• Grind the concrete floor to create roughness for strong film adhesion.
• Vacuum all dust with an industrial vacuum.
• Treat honeycomb defects and cracks with water-based Epoxy repair mortar before applying the top coat.

PRIMING

• Apply one coat of the specialized primer EURO POLYMERS EP-2WT PRIMER over the entire concrete surface.
• Allow the primer to dry completely for 4–12 hours before applying the EURO POLYMERS EC-2WT top coat.

TOP COAT APPLICATION

• Stir Part A well, then slowly pour in Part B at the manufacturer’s specified ratio.
• Mix with a low-speed mixer for 3–5 minutes until homogeneous.
• Apply 2 to 3 coats of EURO POLYMERS EC-2WT by roller, brush or sprayer.
• Waiting time between coats is 6–12 hours (depending on weather). Do not exceed 48 hours between coats.

THEORETICAL COVERAGE

• 0.15–0.25 kg/m² per coat (2 coats recommended for optimal coverage and color).
• Actual consumption depends on the application method and surface flatness.

PACKAGING & STORAGE

• Packaging: 18 kg set, 20 kg set (includes Part A and Part B).
• Storage: dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and high heat (5–35°C). Keep the pail tightly sealed when not in use.
• Shelf life 12 months from the manufacturing date when packaging is unopened.
